The mission statement of the Pharmacy Department is derived from that of the Swaziland Christian University that is to excel through education, research, consultancy and community engangement. As a Christ-centered university we desire the presence of Christ to be at the core of all we do. Jesus says, "Abide in me and I will abide in you" (John 15. 1-8) just as the branch abides in the vine and is dead apart from it. The sign of a diverse people abiding in Christ is having the same mind as Christ Jesus, having the same love, and being one in spirit and purpose (Philippians 2.1-4). By abiding in Christ, we know God and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and we expect this to permeate our living, our breathing, our thinking and our every action. We believe in one God, creator of all things infinetely perfect and externally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Department of Pharmacy endeavors to further the mission of the University through ensuring that it is congruent to the mission of the Pharmacy society, which is to help individuals, families and groups to determine and achieve their physical, mental and social potential, and to do so within the challenging context of the environment in which they live and work.
